Sunny and warm with a chilly breeze. A boat went past at 7.20 a.m. and we thought, oh good no strike. It was the only one and probably had set off from Chauny heading down to lock 1 St Hubert, which was almost certainly closed. We decided we needed to do some shopping first and went to the Carrefour Market in Autreville, just a short distance away outside Chauny. After lunch I gave Mike a hand to get all the stuff out of the engine room so he could get at the engine and drive train plus the batteries to do the usual monthly checks.
